Data Import / Export
Gerber Designer supports RS-274X, RS-274D format (Gerber) and Excellon format (drill). And external aperture data is fully supported and addition of new format is easy by adding dll file. From Gerber data, drill data can be extracted and saved. Gerber Designer can export Gerber data to PCB Designer to be imported as silk data. As Gerber Designer supports multi layer management, multiple files can be loaded or saved simultaneously

RS-274X Format
RS-274X format combines aperture and Gerber data in a single file, so its management is convenient. Data volume is reduced as filled polygon and arc/circle are supported by code. Special shapes of aperture like Thermal, Target, etc. are also supported.

Multi Layer Handling
Data from multiple layers can be displayed together and single layer also can be selected. Each layer's color can be selected for the comparative display.
When multiple layer's data is displayed, current working layer is displayed last for easy data confirmation. Display management of multiple layer is done by simple checking on the layer table. Layer table shows whether each layer is active or not, and additionally shows whether it is negative mode or not.

Panelization
Images from selected layers are combined and arrayed as specified. Auto Film function also can do paneling like this function.

Measure
The distance can be measured between point to point. Object to object measuring is also available.

Query
Aperture code and location information of selected data is provided.

Screen Management
Fast and soft screen scrolling makes work easy. Zoom in and out is conveniently done by mouse and, especially with wheel mouse, dynamic and faster zooming is supported. Faster zooming is also supported with Shift key. Left window of screen displays the location of current window.

Editing Function
Selected data can be edited (move, delete, copy, cut, rotate, mirror) conveniently. 5', 45', 90' rotation (clock & counter -clockwise), free rotation and mirroring can be done by mouse handling. Drawing of line, polygon, arc and flash is supported with accurate aperture.

Aperture Management
Aperture is the basic element of Gerber data and it is identified by D-Code. Gerber Designer supports various types of aperture such as circle, rectangle, oval, polygon, donut, thermal, target and custom type. Custom type allows various shapes of aperture, and can be generated from aperture table by rotation. Modification, creation and deleting of aperture are available by handling aperture table. Modified aperture influences Gerber data which has matched D-code.

Highlighting Data
Gerber data can be highlighted and selected by matched aperture (D-Code).

Data Transfer to CSiEDA PCB Designer
Gerber Designer saves Gerber data as *.wgg file. This file can be loaded in PCB Designer as the silk data.
